View Full Version : Much too speedy playback of mono files

I received my SB two days ago and already love it.

One thing I noticed that might be a bug: whenever I play a mono wav or flac
file through the SB, it is way too fast, I would guess 3 times the
appropriate speed. On my server when played back using Windows Media or
CoolEdit, it has the right speed, so it seems a SB problem. Is this what
some have called the Chipmunk problem? Is it really related to a track being
mono?

Any info much appreciated,
Dennis

It's double-speed.

Yes. SB expects stereo, so it's splitting the samples up between the
channels.

So is this a known bug or is the SB incapable of playing back mono files?
