We have a Cambridge 88CD in our son's room to play childrens' CDs, and the
sound is really good. Sound from an iPod through the unit is also very
good. The 88CD is similar to the CD 740 but is older and has fewer
features (eg, no mp3). However, you can get them relatively inexpensively.
The local Fry's Electronics frequently has them on sale for ~US$120.
