I'm running Vortexbox 1.10 (ie. Squeezebox Server 7.6.1 on Fedora) - have never felt the need to upgrade.

This morning I noticed the server had crashed (which is very unusual), so I restarted it.
Everything seems to be working fine, except that now there is no cover art.
I did a clear+rescan, and saw in the progress report that it said it was pre-caching cover art.
The scan ran to completion with no errors.
All my cover art is in files called cover.jpg, and I did SSH into the server to check that the files are still there.

This all used to work just fine, and I've changed nothing. So why the cover art has disappeared is a mystery to me.
Any suggestions?

Did you checked the logs?

Where are the lost covers?
Webui ?
What did you see instead?
If nothing else helps - stop lms delete all the files in /var/lib/sqeezeboxserver/cache and restart lms.

The log showed an error message "cannot read/create /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/artwork.db".
I checked the directory and that file was present with apparently correct permissions.
So I guess perhaps it was corrupted in some way.
I deleted it, restarted squeezeboxserver, and everything is now fine.

Many thanks for the advice.
