Disclaimer: I have emailed SqueezePad Support as well, but thought I should post here in case the experts here can assist :)

On Squeezepad, when I choose my player and go into My Apps, I get an error : “This player is already registered to another user”. However, when I use the web interface on my laptop I can successfully browse Spotify and I can play Spotify through this player. I also have this player successfully added to my MySqueezeBox account. So I’m confused.

In other words, Squeezepad seems to think my player is registered to another account, but Logitech Media Server (on my own server) seems perfectly happy.

I don;t know if this is a SqueezePad issue, or something specifically related to the "My Apps" option. Hence posting here.

Player MAC Address: 00:04:20:ff:ff:01

That's an invalid MAC address. Please check the sticker on the device.

Hmmm weird. That's the MAC as reported by the display itself and also the web GUI. However the sticker tells me it's 00:04:20:06:AD: D9

From the web app

Player Model: Squeezebox Classic
Player Type: squeezebox2
Firmware: 137
Player IP Address: 192.168.1.210
Player MAC Address: 00:04:20:ff:ff:01

What kind of player is this? On a Classic or Boom you should be able to
get out to the firmware menu by pressing & holding LEFT on the remote.
From there you can go to system settngs, MAC Address and edit it.

Yep, you're right :-) I can change the MAC on the player, which I've now done.

Still same error on Squeezepad though :(

Ok so yes...it looks like the player I purchased off eBay years ago is tied to another account. What now? I can't seem to find the account (nothing on the information screens that helps) but I can see that it logs me straight into mysqueezebox.com on the player, with no option to enter credentials. I also see options for Napster, which I have never used.

Michael, are you able to weave your magic with my MAC address and get it cleared from Logitech's servers?

I deleted it from the database. Please try again.

I'm having a similar issue with a Squeezebox Boom that I just purchased. I contacted the seller and they no longer use the email address that's associated with the MySqueezebox.com account.
mac address 00:04:20:1E:53:DD

The unit works fine when connected to my LMS, but I can't change any of the apps.

Thanks,
Rob

My brother gave me his squeezebox after my beloved one died. I am getting the error: This player is already registered to another user. He already logged into his account and removed the device.

Can you help please?

The MAC address is 00:04:20:12:1F:E1

1) in another thread, Michael Herger told us not to publish our MAC-Address.
2) Ask your brother to delete that SB from his mysbc-account.
