You should file these as enhancement requests, the devs don't really monitor
the mailing list too closely for things like this.

I'm not sure why do you need to shut your PC down every time you get done
listening to music? Most folks just seem to leave it up and running, the
average PC today doesn't use a terrible amount of electricity.

Subject: [slim] Not sure is this is where I do functionality request

I just have a couple wishes for upcoming versions of SlimServer.

1) The ability to remotely shut down the computer/server where my music is
being streamed from. Saves me running down to the basement to when I done
listening to music.

1) The ability to browse different drives. Since my music files are split
between seven drives, drive 1 is A - B, drive 2 is C - D, etc. As far as I
can tell now. I have to log into the server and change the location, drive
1, or 2, etc, of where my music files are stored.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Emile

Sure we do :)

Also worth noting, a wake on LAN enhancement is already filed. IIRC the issue
of shutting down teh server via remote control hits some people as a security
problem. Not everyone uses a dedicated music server. If jst anyone could come
along, go into server setting to enable the shutdown fucntion, then use the
remote to turn off a mail server might get ugly.
