View Full Version : Display Upgrade Opinions after time has passed?

Hey All,

I've recently moved my wireless SB to the upstairs of my house. The
first thing I noticed is the display is harder to read since
it's no longer in my smaller family room. Before, I could read it
from the sofa with little effort, now it's not so easy. I'm debating
getting the display upgrade but I'm just not sure if it's going to help
the readability much. I read through past posts about
people really liking it, but I could not find any authoritative answer
that it improves readability from a distance. The area it is
in now is a large open room that's about 25 feet long. I end up having
to walk up to 8 feet or closer before I can read the display.
Does the new display help that much? Is it worth almost 1/3 the cost
of a new wireless unit?

Eventually I'd like to get a second unit to go back downstairs. I'm
trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to just wait a few more
months & get a new wireless unit for upstairs & move the older unit
back downstairs or if it's worth the upgrade cost of the display.
Anyone have any opinions on the readability of the new display from a
distance now that they've been using it for a while?

Thanks,

-Healy

The new display offers a wide variety of fonts, so it is a lot more
readable. I seem to recall it's a bit brighter as well.
