Hi,

I'm running SlimServer (14th Nov nightly) on a LinkStation, which has Perl
upgraded to 5.8.x. Whenever I restart the LinkStation (and consequently
SlimServer), it reports the "0 songs, 0 artists" message, and my library is
empty until I perform a rescan or wipe the cache.

Is there any reason why this is happening? As you can imagine, it's very
annoying!

TIA,

bub.

The reason is that the server does not include the needed support when using teh
LinkStation. However, Dan Sully recently added this support to the nightly
builds, so that should work for you:

http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest/5.4.1/

make sure you are downloading a 5.4.x build, as the 6.0 builds are currently for
testing only.
