I wanted to send out a quick note to the community to let everyone know
that Dan Sully has joined SlimDevices full time!

Dan has been an active member of the community since the very beginning
in 2001 (and was responsible for the first rewrite of what became
SlimServer!) Dan is a high priest of Perl, and an operations wizard
who served at Ariba, @Home and NASA among others. He'll now be able to
spend his whole day on SlimServer, helping out with our unicode and
database efforts as well as untangle the mess that our company's
servers have become.

Everybody give a big Slim welcome to Dan!

All the happy users and part time hangarounds on the mailing list
out here, are all evangelists, proud and happy that Slim is doing so
well as to be able to hire more qualified people. The products rock
(actually, this morning they internet-radio-groove, at least at my
house) and the way the company does business involving the greater
open source community rocks even more.

Thanks, Happy Holidays to everyone some ten days ahead of schedule
/peter
