View Full Version : yac2slim compatibility with SlimServer 5.4?

I just tried installed yac2slim today, and while everything seems to
be working fine on the YAC end, whenever I receive a call, I'm getting
an error message from yac2slim:

"The Slim server responded unexpectedly. Ensure you are using the
latest version of the Slim server software."

I'm wondering about the possibility of something having changed
between 5.3.1 and 5.4.0, or for that matter, the latest nightly, that
may have rendered yac2slim incompatible? I believe this is using the
CLI at port 9090, so perhaps the syntax has changed slightly?

Is anybody using this successfully with 5.4.0?

Okay, so it turns out the problem is with the latest nightly, since
when I go back to 5.4 it works just fine. Apparently, from a quick
e-mail exchange with Rod and a look at the diagnostic log, the CLI
isn't responding appropriately to a inquiry -- the playerid seems to
be missing on one of the responses.

I'm guessing Rod will probably file a bug somewhere, since I've
already reported it to him and he's the developer of the plug-in, so
he's better equipped to know what's going on.

Just wanted to follow-up on my earlier post, however.

Here's the response I sent to Jesse. It shows how the server software is
responding incorrectly to the "player id # ?" CLI command:

---

There seems to be a bug in the latest nightly build. I'm running it on
the official 5.4 release without problems.

I checked the log file and the problem is that the player ID is missing
from the SlimServer's response. Strangely this only occurs for your
first player, not the second!

Note the missing zero after "player id" in the Server's response.. but
it's there when Yac2Slim asks for the player id of your second player:

Request: player id 0 ?
Response: player id 00%3A04%3A20%3A05%3A70%3A38

Request: player id 1 ?
Response: player id 1 00%3A04%3A20%3A05%3A74%3A18

Ultimately that is what is causing the problem. Can you go back to the
official 5.4 release and confirm that it works ok for you?

Hope the above info is useful!
