I have one of these things in a back room with a
MicroNet RAID that has all my music on it connected
via FireWire. A bit noisy, but I agree, not something
for the living room. Ive had drives gone bad before,
so I wanted a RAID-5 solution for my music library,
hence the MicroNet RAID. Currently my Ethernet disk is
back at LaCie for a second time within a week. Keeps
dropping the shares when music library is being read
in by the (2) clients on the network.
