I have a Logitech x-r0001 Squeezebox radio and LMS. I recently put together a Raspberry Pi with Picoreplayer and a hifiberry amp and i'm very happy with the results.

Is LMS the best server software? we just want to play music from either the hard drive off the computer that LMS is installed on or possibly access music on our server from the computer that LMS is installed on.

What would be the best slave client to install on my Windows 7 HTPC computer so the HTPC sound system can be selected from LMS and be used?

What would be the best application to be able to control all of this through an Android phone?

Thanks for the help, there is just so much to choose from and i just want a simple way to play music with multiple playback options.

Yes, and no reason not to use 7.9: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/index.php?ver=7.9

Squeezelite: https://code.google.com/p/squeezelite/
Run as a service: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?100893-HOW-TO-Squeezelite-player-on-Windows-8-step-by-step

Orange Squeeze, or free Logitech Squeezebox Controller if you don't need Wake-On-Lan; both on Google Play.

I use squeeze controller on my Android, although it hasn't been updated for a long time, still works flawlessly
