Is there a way to tryout Spotify without committing to a long term premium subscription?
Also, when using Spotify, can it be synced with all SB devices...using a Triode plugin?
And, if interested, how do I purchase a premium subscription to Spotify? What is the stream speed?
How does Spotify compare to Rhapsody?
Thank you.

when you sign up for a premium subscription it can be cancelled anytime. it is month to month, so the most you're out is a month. I use the triode plugin with LMS. Yes, I can synch all my SB devices playing spotify. However, with triode's plugin one can't play DIFFERENT spotify streams on different SB players at the same time. With the official Spotify app, one can play *different* spotify streams at the same time. But the official app only works on TOUCH or RADIO.

Spotify mostly streams 320kbs files. Some are 256. I'm very pleased with it. go to spotify's home page to sign up for the premium. I think it is $9.99 per month, but can't recall for sure.

So, I take it that Spotify (with the plugin) will only play with LMS on an SB3, or a Boom? Will not play with mysb.com on SB3 or Boom. Thank you

No.
Triodes plugin on LMS will play on ALL players including software players.
The MySB.com app will play on Touch & Radio only.

I suspect we are confusing I kabob. I said yes and you said no. ;);) We are all saying the same thing.triodes plugin works with any player but only with lms. Logitech app works with radio or touch, lms or mysb.com. But I think my post yesderday or day before also said all this. I kabob, is it clear?

Yes sir! It is clear. Thank you very much.
I am enjoying a Mahler symphony as I type. The sound quality is awesome and I do think I will definitely enjoy Spotify Premium with Triodes plugin. Using LMS I can include the subwoofer(powered by Boom) and the SBTouch connected to the stereo system.
I feel so lucky to have this SB ecosystem. It has never become old. I love it!

Thanks for all the help.

What is the difference between the orange and green apps for Spotify? Thank you.

Spotify's currently running a promotion where you can get 3 months of Premium for $0.99--if you don't cancel prior to the end of the 3 months, they'll start charging the usual monthly rate.

I'm giving it a try. I've had no luck with the official Spotify app (getting "not available in your region" errors when attempting to play tracks). I've had to rely on the plugin.
