How could Logitech release a music server without playlist facilities? No wonder the grand design failed ...

The UE system has so many design fails that this is just a minor one. I suppose that's what happens if you design something in a week or so....

That said: if you use iTunes integration you can use iTunes playlists.

Why don't you just go back to Squeezebox?

I just wanted to test it out - especially the radio function (which is okay) and thought I'd try the server which is also okay apart from the playlist non-feature!

Any idea how I can uninstall the server in linux?

Debian: dpkg remove <package>

The server generally works OK but there are a lot of issues. The most important one being that the radio completely hangs if you try to play a track from a server that's no longer available....
