Anyone who uses their services knows that this would be a very sad loss..

Definatelly a loss, I always had doubts that they would survive for long (a strong catalog of classical music is not a growth industry, no matter how much I care). Let's hope that French governement will support them, my streaming and downloading depends on qobuz.

Actually, let's hope the French government won't. It would distort the market and harm other people who want to develop similar services with a more sustainable model. If we allowed unlimited French government subsidies, we would all be using Minitel instead of the Internet.

I hope they can make it. I find it the best place for lossless music. Well done and full of ideas. Alone the weekly "The Qobuz Minute" is something that no other shop can offer. HDtracks that is talked about everywhere feels cheap and amateurish against.

Or we could let all the mobile phone companies market online music for free, devaluing music services even further......

Or just let Apple push over-rated corporate pap by tax-evading groups to your device whether you want it or not.

They have several nice spontanous offers lately. Just got me the first album of Alt-J, An Awesome Wave as so called Studio Master for 7.99 If this isn't a fair price, what is?
I really become used to it. Would really be a pitty to loose it.

Edit: regarding the Alt-J i have to add its music content has only some short term spikes above 20kHz. Looks like the 96kHz version makes no sense. I like how it sounds, loud but very clear and spacious. I don't have the CD but it should sound as good. For 7.99 still nothing to complain.
