Just another way to play lo-fi music from your phone to bigger speakers.

Still interesting as Google didn't used to have an API at all if I'm correctly informed.

Well, they surely have an API, they just don't release it to everyone.
Just like with Google+ where also only selected partners get access.

+1 : bigger speakers than your phone/tablet.

I haven't actually heard the Sonos product but it is bound to be a "limited fidelity alternative" compared to a real stereo.

Designed to take no space, products like this are consistent with approval from the spousal element. Like Bose, the owners can say "Amazing for the size" while not really knowing what they are missing.

If you want small, go ahead and get the pocketable SoundMatters Foxl. Then you can reasonably comment "Amazing from NO size."

Although not the last statement in HiFi, Sonos do have systems that connect to your existing amplifiers and speakers, as well as their Bose equivalent speaker designs.

Like somebody else....Logitech nee SlimDevices....although Sonos understand marketing and product retail requirements, finally they are still in business. No they don't have large numbers of specialist music choosing applications, but their simplified system does work, and for many addresses their requirements.
