Hi everybody,

i have a question regarding my UE Smart Radio. I'm running the UE Music Library on a Raspberry Pi, which works quite nice. I've taken much effort and tagged my entire music collection with Mp3tag. All my songs that have an album tag are displayed perfectly on the Smart Radio. But I also have a lot of songs that I've not given an Album tag, because I don't own the whole album of these songs and i don't want these songs listed in "albums" on the radio. So i've removed the album tag from these songs and hoped i could find them in interprets on the smart radio and not listed in albums. But my problem now is that no song without an album tag appears on the smart radio.
Anyone here who can help me out with this?

Thanks in advance

I could solve the problem by checking "List compilation albums under each artist" on the webinterface. I'm quite happy now. One last thing is a bit annoying. The albums on my smart radio are sorted by the albums name and not by artist. Is there any chance to fix this?

If you're running a server anyway have you considered getting rid of the UE stuff, converting the radio to a Squeezebox and running LMS instead.

I've not personally tried the UE stuff myself but just the thought of even local music needing to go through the internet puts me off massively.

The album sort order can be changed in LMS, I'm not sure ifnthe setting is available on UE

Doesn't look like that setting is available. Probably another "simplification".
iPeng UE has an "Artists->All Albums" menu which does what you want.
But seriously: I would switch to the Squeezebox firmware, too. Much more development going on there, much more functionality anyway.

Thanks a lot for your answers. I successfully switched to LMS 7.7.3 and SB Firmware. I didn't know that so many more settings are available with LMS. :)
But i still couldn't find the setting for the artist sorting in the albums folder. Can somebody help me out? :)

Thanks a lot for the good advice.

I think that setting is on the radio itself. Possibly from the main menu go settings > advanced. Might be wrong though

You should find it in the bottom left of Album view in the Webui.

On the Duet controller, which is very similar to the Radio UI it is at Settings -> Advanced -> Album Sort Method.

I don't think that will change the display on the player itself though.

Yeah! Thanks a lot for your comments. Exactly at this point on my smart radio i could change the album sorting! I'm very very happy now...
Maybe one more thing....
Is it possible to sort the radio list by bitrate?

Thank you so much for your help!

I don't think you can sort by bitrate unless Erland has created a plugin for it.
