I have a Classic where the VFD suddenly died - POSSIBLY (probably) kid related. It was likely knocked, and the display was fine on one end, and blurred to nothingness to the other end, and then completely dead the next day. Works great otherwise - glad it's programmed for the network already!!
I also picked up one from eBay (need a spare, right?), and it looked great for a few minutes, and then checked it and about 1/3 of the display (top) is dead. Major sadface. :-(.
Is there anything I can check on either of them? Pins? Voltages? Caps / Resistors?
The community SB can't come quick enough - we're DYING HERE!! :-)
