New Tunein plugin - anyone ?

(Tiny)LMS does always connect to mysb.com (if possible).

This is very surprising for me, as my Touch is very often connected to its local (tiny) server when reading music on USB key, TuneIn radios are available, but the Touch is then not connected to mysb.com (I must select the "Connect to mysb.com" action to switch back) !!! Even the displayed time is slowly drifting, that prooves (to me) that the unit is disconnected from any external server.

Any misunderstanding on my side ?

As I said: LMS built in to the Touch would talk to mysb.com in order to
get the TuneIn menus.

No, this only proves that the clock sync mechanism isn't perfect :-).

Is this true even with 7.8 version ?
After installing 7.8 on my Touch connected to LMS 7.8 on my PC, I got 2 TuneIn applications : 1 is the former one, 1 is the new one in place of the "radio" application. They both have the TuneIn menu, with access to my TuneIn account favorites. Do they both use access to mysb.com (as far as I understand, the new TuneIn plugin on LMS 7.8 on PC does not use mysb.com connection) ?

Yes: if mysb.com is available, it'll use it (as the Radio menu lists more
than just TuneIn). But if mysb.com was down, it would be standalone.

If that means that if/when mysb.com is under any unlucky decision (!) definitively stopped, I will be able to listen to my radio stations through my Touch, it's a big announcement !

I'm seeing an issue in most 3rd party Apps (iPeng, SqueezePad, OrangeSqueeze, at least) in that some entries in the Radios menu are now duplicate.
The reason is that the "radios" menu returns them twice.
I believe your App probably replaces one occurrence with the other and I briefly thought about doing that in iPeng as well but then.... they are not identical duplicates and I don't want to start picking one in case there might ever come something up where there _should_ be two similar menus, e.g. because a plugin uses a name already taken by a native menu.

I think the server should filter this...

Heh... I never noticed - as the players and the SB Controller app don't
show them twice. They seem to be smarter ;-).

I'll see what I can do.

Ok, it's actually a bug. There is code to prevent duplicates, but it
failed the check.

Pippin - you're using custom icons for the Radio menu. You might want to
add a few more, as TuneIn has added new menus (Presets, News, Language,
Podcasts)
