24/96 and Apple Lossless won't play

    Hi,

I have a similar problem although my files scan OK. I've only recently bought the Pi and although the installation of squeezeplug went smoothly enough, every time I try to play a 24/96 or Apple Lossless file the player shows "Unable to convert stream". Is it supposed to be able to play these files? I haven't changed any settings from the standard install.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Steve.

Raspberry Pi USB connected to powered 500gb hard drive, wired network to squeezebox touch.

    USB Audio Problem

Recently there was major progress on the raspberry pi usb audio problem. The raspyfi (MPD) project and also the picoplayer (LMS) project took already advantage of the kernel improvements.

Any plans to upgrade SqueezePlug as well?

Truehl has not been around for quite a long time (2 months now I guess). Let's hope he is well and the squeezeplug project is continued.

Switch IO when music is playing with SqueezeLite

Is there any code to change in order to switch one of the GPIO Ports to low when no music is streamed over SqueezeLite?
My application/intension is to switch off power of external Hi-fi hardware/player AND off course bring them back to power when stream over the squeezeboxLite is activated.
    Any ideas?

    What kind of player ?

24/96 or ALAC may need transcoding depending on player I dont know if the PI has the CPU for that, probably not .

    deep growling sound

But after 2 Days I get a silly deep sound from the PI output (internal)
I have to replug the Power to fix this, but after 2 days the same. (newest Squeezeplug und newest Squeezelite)

The sound is a constant deep growl. I can chance the stations or play Music from Server but the sound is not changing.

I havent found a problem like this through the search, any Idea someone?

    I guess I have a similar problem.
My setup: LMS 7.8 on WHS 2011 (upgraded from 7.2)
Raspberry Pi: Squeezeplug 6.02 HF updated/upgraded connected via WiFi
    Squeezeplay on windows 8

An example of the sound: https: slash slash triple w.box.com/s/eurc8rgqs0kg36ti71hf
at 25 seconds the sound becomes normal without action.

    other LMS version: same problem

    What have I done:
installed Squeezeplug on 8 Gb sd card
prior to plug in the WiFi dongle: updated and upgraded OS
installed drivers for WiFi dongle Sagem XG-760A (install zd1211-firmware)
installed wicd-curses to configure the WiFi connection

Playback is good on the windows 8 machine and distorted on the Pi. It makes no difference when using wlan of an lan connection. I've switched powerupplies (700mA to to 1A).

    Anyone knows a solution?

    SSH and Webmin Login Issues

Hi. I downloaded, installed, and configured SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi v6 with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor attached. I changed the root password via the menu item, and then installed Webmin.

I can login from the command line on the RPi, but cannot through SSH or Webmin. The IPs are correct, it just keeps telling me login failed. I tried both the original PW and my updated one. Neither works.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.
    Drew

Ha! I need to sleep more. User: Pi works in SSH and Webmin for the SqueezePlug. Picked it up from a YouTube video on how to switch from Blimey to Yank keyboard.
