There are four internal threads which if you use top -h you should get the pid of the thread causing the issue. Interested in the strace of this if you manage to reproduce.

I'll look at the sample rate change to see whether I can see any cases where this could occur.

Its intended to provide a squeezeslave like player which performs more closely to squeezeplay/recent players than squeezeslave does. Specific differences:
    - supports high res sample rates (88/96/176/192k)
    - supports direct streaming which means the remote stream is played directly via the player rather than proxied by the server - this enables my spotify plugin to work
    - support of alsa output in the format used by usb hifi dacs
    - potentially improved sync

Thanks to those who are testing as this wil help remove the bugs.

Yes in a while, I did another discovery .

If use "hw:CARD=PCH,DEV=0" instead of "default" this does not seems to happen ,but i must keep volume at 100% in LMS if I adjust volume from LMS this breaks up horribly .

If I use defalut i can use LMS volume without a problem .

In either case i can use the computers volume without problem.

I will shift to default again and strace....

Leave it with me for a while - I think I have reproduced. I think the 100% problem is related to using non mmap output which I have tested less and will look at again. I have also found a problem with <100% volume with some devices which I will look at too.

Thanks - I reproduced the same thing on ubuntu 64 bit running in a VM. This is running pulse audio - I think you are doing the same - is this on a real hardware or in a VM?
