Hi,
I have LMS installed on a W7 PC connected to the router using a wired connection. I have a SBT connected to the LMS server using wireless and everything works ok so no issue there.
The problem is I want to use an iPhone and iPeng (eventually) to control the LMS installed on the pc but when I try to connect to the server IP address it doesn't work - I get an error message saying web address cannot be found. The iPhone is connected to the wi-fi from the router as I can browse the internet and it also shows up when I look at the network map in the routers management interface page.
I think that it is an issue with the firewall or the Norton setup. When I go into turn the firewall off it says that it is being controlled - tried turning off the firewall and intrusion bits in Norton but it still didn't work.
I can ping the LMS pc from another W7 one which is connected to the same router but I can't connect to the server ip address using a browser.
Any ideas for the best way to fix this and get it working so I can control it from the iPhone?
Thanks for any help,

"Web address cannot be found"??? iPeng has no such error message.
Is this in a red box?
Could you send me a diagnostics message from within iPen? Just tap the mail link in "Help".
Does your WiFi network maybe have a guest mode through which you can reach the Internet but not the network itself?---

Hi,
Sorry but I haven't explained myself very well.
I do not have iPeng yet. I am trying to use the iPhone web browser to navigate to the server so I could use the web interface to control it. This was just a test i was doing to check out the connection.
Will using the web interface in this way not work?
Thanks for your help,

You should be able to use your iPhone's web browser to use LMS web control. Type <192.168.1.69>:9000 in a browser window substitute <192.168.1.69> for your server IP.
Why not visit the App store and install the free Logitech Squeezebox Controller app, see if this works ok for you, you can get the much better iPeng app later.kidstypike

Do keep in mind that the ipeng app is night and day better than accessing Lms via the iPhone web browser.
