I've run it in OS X, if that's your question. I guess X.5 and possibly X.6. I don't use it often.
EDIT: In the SBS web interface, I opened the Extras menu and clicked on Community Softsqueeze, I asked to "download and run Softsqueeze" (disregarding the 1st option on the page, which is to install Java). It came up immediately and started to play.
I run SBS 7.6.2 on a linux machine, the client executing Softsqueeze is OS X 10.7.4. The Java I use is the one coming from OS X updates, nothing more.Last edited by epoch1970; 2012-09-02 at 09:39. Reason: works with X.7 too

Can squeezeplay (PC in my case but a general question) be hacked to play back Spotify?
AFAIK only a couple of hardware devices are supported.
