New Motorola wireless gateway: can't get Duet to work

OK: sorry for the multiple posts. NOW - when I go to "Choose Player" > there's nothing listed. Originally, it listed my player. So - how do I get it to see my player: I think the light on the receiver is green, but it might be yellow - sort of hard to tell. When I look at the MAC addresses on my gateway, it lists the MAC address for the "Squeezebox Controller", and it does connect to my new wireless network. BUT, I can't figure out now how to get my Player to appear on the list??? thanks, embee

I would do a factory reset on the receiver and controller and set them up from scratch. Remember that to reset the receiver you need to press and hold the front button until the unit goes to the fast red blink of the LED.

Yes - you are right - Factory reset was needed. In fact, I found this response a few threads back from NigelGray and it worked like a charm - exactly as listed below. Thanks to all!!! embee

For what it's worth, I was having the same problem after changing my wireless router. Was tearing my hair out to try and get the Squeezebox Duet connected again.

The trick is: you have to do exactly this, in the this order.

    1. Unplug receiver.
    2. Turn off controller (press and hold home button)
    3. Plug in receiver.
    4. Press and hold front button on receiver until it flashes red.
    5. Turn on controller (press home button once)
    6. Factory reset controller by going to Settings > Advanced > Restore Factory Settings
    7. When factory reset has been completed, connect to your wireless network. Player will (probably) be found, and the front LED should end up solid white.

I followed lots of advice in this thread, but it turns out that I wasn't doing it in the correct order!!!
