I'm still looking but I have another question/problem
adding the lines (shown below) for the slimserver packages in the packages doesn't work because it(they) are not found. I wonder if this isn't due to the slimserver / logitechmediaserver changes.
deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main
deb http://debian.slimdevices.com testing main
deb http://debian.slimdevices.com unstable main
So the only way I have found to get anywhere is download the actual package itself and use that to install.

did you solved the problem? I have also problems to install/compile the Logitech Media Servoer the Odroid X with Debian Whezzy .

Ok, I have found the squeezi-pi package that works also on on my Odroid X with Wheezy. (thread with the wheezy image for odroid-x http://odroid.foros-phpbb.com/t1422-...zy-on-odroid-x)
The base of Ubuntu is Debian, may be it works for you too.

Also there is a tutorial how to compile and install the LMS manually. I havn't tried it but will do it later.
