Hello,
I've been struggling with this for a long time now.
I'm using LMS 7.7.2 on a synology NAS.
When I add an album with a cover art in the folder (cover.jpg, folder.jpg), everything is ok, the cover is detected.
But if I want to add a folder and later a cover art, the cover art is never detected, unless I do a full rebuild of the musical library.
Even with a touch on every file in the folder, it's like nothing changes.
And a full rebuild is quite long just to detect a few new covers...
Anyone could help?
Thanks

Normally if a album is already in LMS without cover art and you add it later it takes a clear and rescan to get the art added. A scan for new and changed music does not detect new or changed album art.

Yes, that's what I noticed.
It would be really nice from the devs to change this behavior...

Having noticed the same thing I came up with a bodgy work around. I use MP3Tags rename facility to change the filenames of effected files. I use track - track name for all my files and simply add another dash. A simple rescan then picks them up as new files and deletes the old version. Much quicker.
