I bet there's http:// in front of it, and then it should be good. Unless
that list is malformed. Would you mind sharing it (or some lines of it)
with us?

If this is of any interest or indeed related, since 'playing' with these settings I can no longer access the shares on the readynas via the raidar software (I get a 'windows cannot access //192.168.1.68...... error). But I can access them via the Windows/Network.

I haven't configured the web server for external use yet so you can't access it. I get a different error when I add http:// at the start of the URL. The file just contains the list of images you posted on this thread so I can't believe this is proving so difficult! Extremely frustrating....

I think I know why it's not working. I believe my nas is not powerful enough to load the pictures and the error 'several attempts at reading/creating the image list failed' is because the nas is not quick enough to supply the image. I know this because I installed photo plugin on squeezebox server and I get the same error when trying to view an image on the Touch. Does this seam reasonable? The nas is a Duo. Matt

The test worked so the nas is to blame. I'll knock it on the head as not changing Nas.
