    Lost Artwork playing radio stations

I submitted bug report 17068 almost 18 months ago. A one point Logitech
claimed that they fixed the problem. The problem was not fixed and I reopened the report,
there have been additional people reporting the same problem. Is anybody working on a fix?

I run an older version of the server at home (7.34) which has lousy radio station artwork, but running a Radio at my parents' house connecting to mysqueezebox I get dynamic radio artwork.

Maybe they have it working through mysqueezebox or the latest firmware only.

I also have this problem and have commented in 17068 (as chapinfan). I don't hold much hope that this problem will ever be fixed.

I have the same issue whereby the station logo has been 'replaced' with the boring standard logo (radio tower).
My SR is brand new, the artwork has been present for a few days only and it has suddenly disappeared after a network (server?) problem whereby the radio was re-booted after a 'system failure'.

So I am very dissapointed although I do not know if it is an issue of the radio (software) itself.

Did you ever try to delete your 'my squeezebox' account and make a new one with different account information?
I am not able to completely disable my account, at least I do not know how so I can not try it out...

I highly doubt a new MySB account will solve the issue, but....

If you can't delete old MySB account (I don't see an option for this myself) there is a workaround.

    - log into current MySB account, change that MySB account email & password, delete each player from that account
    - create & verify (register) a new MySB account
    - factory reset all players, setup new MySB account on each
    - add new MySB info to LMS > Settings > MySB.com

I had this problem with 7.61 and earlier firmware. The workaround was rebooting the radios everyday. Actually, I powered off all my SRs every morning before going to work. I think the bug was fixed after the 7.62 release. I have not have artwork problem since (via MySB.com or LMS), and I don't have to reboot my radios now.

I will provide some more information, maybe it will help in resolving the issue:

    Squeezebox Radio
    Firmware version 7.7.2 r9663, hardware version 7.

The radio has been purchased approx. 1 week ago, and it was working without any problems.
The artwork of almost all radio stations which I was receiving was present!

A network problem, probably on the mysqueezebox server, caused a sudden reboot of the radio a few days ago. This reboot message was visible on the radio display with the request to send a failure report (which I did!).

The radio was working again properly after the reboot, but no artwork was present from that moment, and in some cases the last displayed artwork just before the network problem occurred (logo of a particular Dutch station) pops up instead of the default radio tower which is now standard visible on almost all radio stations!

However, some radio stations still show the artwork!!! The following radio stations show the album sleeve of the artist playing instead of the antenna tower (or Dutch station) logo!!! Sometimes the ‘Dutch logo’ is initially present on these stations just after tuning to it, and the correct logo appears after a while when a new song is played which means that the artwork is updated with new information from the radio stream:

    http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?...0&partnerId=16 (SKY.FM Alt Rock (US))
    http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?...9&partnerId=16 (Psychedelic Jukebox)

The following radio station has a ‘static’ logo, but that one has been replaced with the radio tower logo (no Dutch logo present at all, always the tower):

    http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?...1&partnerId=16 (VRT Studio Brussel)

So I am dealing with three different scenarios: (1) tower logo OR the ‘fixed’ logo of a Dutch radio station, (2) proper artwork (actively updated when a new song is played), and (3) the antenna logo always displayed…..

I wonder what information in the radio stream is corrupted. Is there a way in which the radio stream is passing a kind of filter (probably on the mysqueezebox server) which matches the serial number/account information/firmware version of my radio?
Some owners do have two SR radios, of which one is affected by this bug, and the other one is not). In that case the problem can be fixed (or introduced) by synchronizing the bad one to the good one and vice versa. This make me think of a problem that is NOT in the radio itself (re-installing of the firmware does not fix it) and might be present in the ‘grey area’ between the radio station and the individual radios.

I hope that this information will help in fixing this annoying problem!

I hope for a quick solution!

    Best regards from The Netherlands,

    Tom
