any chance you can share your build process? i'm on amd64 9.0 with perl-5.14.2

I haven't been able to get any recent amd64 versions to build, other than by hacking ffpmeg's libavcodec so badly it doesn't work even if it compiles OK.

Does the new port of FreeBSD multimedia/ffmpeg-011 change something in this issue?

Thanks for the heads-up, I hadn't noticed that appearing. I'll run an update, then poke around and see if there are any unusual options being used and try them with LMS if so. But I'm not hopeful: I've already tried importing ffmpeg 0.11 and although it compiled OK there were still linker errors.
