    audio fingerprint dupes?

anyone have any exp with this:

    http://www.similarityapp.com/

or 'similar' to detect and remove dupes or near dupes?

my interest is specifically in audio fingerprint comparison (and contrast).

Isn't spoons PerfectTunes doing this with dupes (dbpa/illustrate new product)

And I may be slightly wrong. It may be the audio safe program that does dupes. Although pretty sure it is oerfecttunes. beta at the moment but definitely worth checking out. Both are spoon and Dbpa.

It took forever to scan my 78,000+ tracks and then declared many to be dupes that are not. For example, it can't distinguish between original issues and remasters.

Makes me wonder if AudioSafe will not return the same file that was uploaded...

I recall several posts on incorrect dupe ID thus far. And you should ask/search at the audiosafe forum on the issue of 'same file', but I believe this question has been asked and I recall Spoon saying that the exact file would be returned upon restore. But I haven't used/tested.
