This has been happening for a few months. Sometimes it can go fine for hours OK then silence, everything otherwise appearing normal on the screen. Changing selections, nothing works.
I've downloaded the latest software and reinstalled, rescanned the music files.
It happens regardless of which of two PCs I use as music source and no difference whether hardwired or wireless. Its a real pity given how good the Boom is otherwise. Is there no stable software it could be just left with?
Usually have to give up and come back to it another day.
Thanks.

Couple of ideas...
1. Turn off player settings Sync to MySB.com
LMS > Settings > MySqueezeBox.com > Keep player settings in Sync > NO
2. Check line out (headphone plug) settings, set to NONE
Boom > Settings > Audio > Line Out > Always OFF
3. Any correlation to when this happens? Certain music file type that causes the issue?
Ex: all is well playing mp3 files then it attempts to play aac file when it goes silent?
4. Try playing internet radio instead of local music files, see if results are same
5. If #4 has same result, try switching Boom to MySB.com directly

Thanks for fast reply!
I had already adjusted the sync, headphone and line out to no so they're ruled out. (from the Wiki)
I'm going to prepare a folder with nothing but flac files and try that, I think it happens on song change but not always nearby when I notice the silence.
I mostly only have flac or wav files in any case.
Just tried the internet radio and its sitting silent also, showing the station name scrolling etc and NOW PLAYING as if everything is OK.

Try switching it to MySB.com (no local server). This may help diagnose if it is a LMS server issue.

I've now tried everything, no sound at all now no matter how often I try on/off etc.
Had a thought, turned on headphones which I have never used and it is fine so it must be a fault in the amp section I'd guess, not happy!
I'm in N Ireland so I don't even know if anyone repairs them.
Thanks for your help which was great

Kids,
Does it only happen when connected to LMS? Or is it the same on MySB.com?
Yeah, I just didn't want the OP to think he has a new problem if using Line Out = Sub, absent a sub.
