Pioneer VSX-921

Hi,
I'm the happy owner of a pioneer VSX-921 and a squeezebox duet. Like many recent amplifier the VSX-921 can be remote controled through ethernet. I got an official app for iPhone doing that, and I know some unofficial one exist for Android. Now, what would be really cool is that when I turned on my squeezebox, the server automaticly turn on my amplifier through network and set it to the right input source.

Do you know if such a plugin exist?

If not I might consider writing one myself, I have strong c++ skills, but no experience at all in squeezebox plugin development, do you know any good way to jump in? Tutorial? Similar plugin that I could start from?

This is exactly what I'm looking for! Exept it's for Denon amplifier
I have to take a look at the source code.
