HI all, I'm moving my question to it's own thread in hopes of more visibility.
I'm attempting to get LMS/SBS up and running on my router with the objective of not having to keep my desktop running 24/7 as a server.
Another helpful user has packaged SBS 7.4.2 under Optware for my router (Asus RT-N16 - see this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...IPSEL&p=711633)
I have Optware installed now and attempted installing the SBS package but seem to have run into an issue.
First problem, I realized I don't know how to configure the server! During the package install, I get prompted for the home location, but then the install "terminates successfully". I'm not sure if that constitutes a successful install and I should be able to go straight to the web interface from there or if it should be prompting for more details...
At that point I can see the Squeezebox Service is running according to the service command, but in the server.log, all I see is a whole lot ofover and over again.Code:2012-07-26 22:13:34 Squeezebox Server died. Restarting.
Also, during the install I got the following during the MySQL install. Is this fatal? Any clues on what went wrong or troubleshooting tips?
One problem I have is lack of documentation on the Linux(?) version of the server that this is based on.Code:Starting MySQL. ERROR! Manager of pid-file quit without updating file. postinst script returned status 1 ERROR: mysql5.postinst returned 1
Anybody willing to help render me a little more clueful?
Thanks!
