Ever since updating to 7.7.2 (firmware too) on my duet I've had goofy issues with Internet radio. This all worked under the last version. I hate that each "upgrade" brings new, and unpredictable problems!
1. Can't turn off a radio station - Used to be you pushed the center button and you got an option to "remove from playlist", not there any more. Now, the only way I can turn the radio off is to start a song from my music server and then remove that from the playlist. This is a +10 irritation factor.
2. Lost my FM - When I select "Internet Radio" from the home menu and then "local" all I see are local AM and public service stations (police, fire, etc). Where'd the FM stations that used to be there go. I searched the archives for this and the solution I found didn't seem to work.
I checked LMS and I'm logged in to mysb.com and I have the plugin for TunIn Radio.com installed. I notice the checkbox for TunIn is checked but it's grayed out and I can't uncheck it. I checked and I have an active TuneIn account.
Last night I re-installed tuneIn and gave it an Icon in the home menu. When I select that and "Local" I see my local FM stations. What gives.

Try the Pause/Stop button to stop station play?
Locals: That is odd, all of my locals are there, both AM & FM. Sure you scrolled down the menu far enough?

Yes, all the way to the bottom where there's some local college AM station. Thing is, in the TuneIn plugin the FM stations are listed first followed by the AM and then other stations. Very Strange.
Fortunately, I have my favorites local FM stations saved in "Favorites".......at least until the next software "upgrade".

Alan has (insanely) claimed that this deliberate behaviour makes it easier for users who typically use single-item playlists for internet radio, etc. and is adamant it won't be changed. Quite the contrary, it makes it far more annoying for the users he's claiming this benefits.

How asinine, it's not a feature it's a friggin bug!!! Pushing the pause button merely mutes the sound, it does NOT stop the stream. Why doesn't someone write an open-source squeezebox app? It's a shame that Logitech is consigning the SB to a geek toy with it's unintuitive software.
Bug vote registered, thanks for the info.

To be fair, you can actually stop the stream by pressing and holding pause to put it in Stop mode, but I like to clear out my playlist completely when I'm done, especially on the bedroom system so that a) I can guarantee that it isn't wasting my bandwidth, and b) so there's no chance of it resuming the stream in the middle of the night!

Bill,
The Stop function is your easiest & simplest answer. With the limited use case and low number of votes there is obviously very little interest by both users and Logitech to add back the "Remove from Playlist" menu item for a single item playlist.

Admittedly, it's not the way things should work, but why not spare the drama and simply rollback to the last version that worked the way you like it? All released versions are available at http://downloads.slimdevices.com/. You'll need to use LMS and avoid mysb.com, but even then I think you can refuse mysb.com's prompt to update SBC firmware by holding the left arrow button for a few seconds.
EDIT: or as paulster says, push and HOLD the pause button to stop the stream.Last edited by aubuti; 2012-07-27 at 06:39.
