    Check for updates?

How do I check for updates for Logitech Media Server. Is there a way to change the skin. I'm getting of the same old look.

I am using 7.7.2 the latest version. How do you know when a new version is available? Is there a way to change the skin?

The only way that I know of to know about updates is to check the links I mentioned above, read these forums regularly and also check the official forum here

If by skin you mean the web interface go to Advanced Settings, then interface. You can choose default, classic or light. Make sure you click Apply in the bottom right corner.

If installed on Windows the tray icon will tell you that a update is available (unless you've turned it off). Not sure on other OS's.

On Linux I recall seeing a message on the bottom of the left pane of the LMS web interface when a new version of LMS was available. I expect the same is true with other OSs. I believe that automatic notification has to be turned on for this to show.

As for skins, note that Default is "same old look" and Classic is "even older look." There doesn't seem to be any activity in new skins development for the LMS web interface, but there are a lot of alternative interfaces. On a Windows pc there is Moose and Muso. And on handheld devices (iPad, iPod, iPhone, Android) there are several excellent options, all of which have the added benefit of not having to be sitting at a computer.
