Hello.
I've been having this problem for months and I cannot figure it out.
I'm running v7.7.3, 1342008352, Sun Jul 22 02:04:19 PDT 2012. I had hoped changing to a nightly build would fix it, but no dice.
I have the server running from a wireless WIN 7 64 desktop,
one wired SB2
one wireless SB Classic
and squeezeslave running from the server desktop.
The problem I intermittently encounter is while playing music from my local drive, sometimes the audio will stop, but the server web interface and all the player displays will show the song time counter going through a loop of the same 5 seconds of a song (i.e. 3:23 to 3:28) over and over, with no audio coming out.
This will continue until I either clear the playlist or stop and restart the server. This seems to happen at random, and I cannot discern any sort of pattern, nor isolate something in the logging which would show me what's going on.
What should I toggle in the logging to hopefully see what's happening? I have everything set to "error" which does not produce anything glaring.
Besides the "hard wire your server" option which I cannot do yet, what can I do? Move up to 7.8?
Thanks for any suggestions!

If the reason you can't wire your server is distance from router, you may want to consider a powerline adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...rk+adapter+kit
If you think you may connect other devices this way, select a model that allows multiple adapters to access a single base unit; not all do.

Thanks for your suggestions. I think I'll have to figure a way of getting an Ethernet cable through the wall/floor into the basement where the router is. There really is no opportunity for temporary connection through rooms, hallways, and stairs due to kids and a dog.

The powerline option is tempting, but a 6-dollar cable from monoprice plus some actual effort
is probably the most reasonable next step.
