Help me figure out why scanning is no longer working. Please?

Below is from my scanner log. I can't figure it out, nothing has changed yet I'm getting many errors. I reinstalled LMS, but it didn't help. Any ideas of what to do? Thanks, SL

I See a part telling "database or disk is full", check your disk free space.

I've been having problems for weeks trying to get LMS to scan my iTunes playlists with no luck. It's so bad that honestly I have a hard time recommending this product to anyone until it gets fixed. It's a shame Logitech doesn't seem to be putting in the resources to respond to these issues...

For anyone else with a similar problem...

The solution for me was to open the LMS Control Panel-> Advanced-> Check Clean cache folder, including....->Run Clean Up

Never noticed that option until yesterday.

Worth trying whenever there's something odd going on.
I sometimes delete the entire cache (location varies by OS, it's N:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Squeezebox\Cache on win XP/2003, otherwise find server.prefs and find the string beginning with cachedir:
I just stop SBS, delete everything inside that cache folder, then restart SBS

Given the error, you could have probably just rebuilt the db file (check the SQLite command line tool here) with SBS off, of course. But delete and rebuild has fixed a lot of odd stuff for me over the years.

The most widespread and fatal error involves embedded artwork.

I was unable to proceed to software above v 6 until I removed all embedded artwork with dbpoweramp.

hmmmm, another data point: I have about 20,000 mp3 files with embedded artwork and they haven't caused any problems in any of the builds (currently using LMS 7.7.2). All the artwork files are jpg, and I don't think any are larger than about 600x600. I use cover.jpg (not embedded) in my FLAC albums.
