Yeah no hardware player just the vortexbox. I know it works there are other people doing this but no one has had this problem. What the end goal is for an RTI XP processor to control the vortexbox player and display all the pandora stations and metadata on all the remotes and touchscreens.
Thanks,
Geoff

got it. You should post on the vortexbox forum about how to get this to work in the VB Player subforum. I know that Pandora won't work on software players like SqueezePlay (which I use on my Win7 machine at work as a player). But perhaps there are some hacks that make it work with VB player as a software player. Good luck.

Location 2: VBA 3TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio)

My (admittedly fuzzy) recollection is that paid Pandora accounts (aka Pandora One) work on software players such as SqueezePlay, and possibly the Vortexbox player.
In the US a Pandora One subscription is $36/year or $4/month and has no commercials. Pandora One streams at 192kbps to the Pandora web-based player, but only 128kbps to Squeezeboxes. I imagine streaming to the Vortexbox player would also be at 128k, but I'm not sure about that.

Yes, the LMS web UI will populate the installed MySB.com Apps if your LMS has the proper MySB.com login credentials. You can also run any number of LMS servers simultaneously on your network, then switch your players between them as desired. But when you select an App within the LMS web UI it will only give an error message if no player is recognized. This is all a lot easier with a hardware player.

Ok, sorry I left and had to go out of town for a couple of weeks for some work. Now I am back at it. It is strange my favorites from mysqueezebox.com show up in LMS under Favorites, and I added it on the website not from LMS, but not my apps. I am sure it is something strange on my end. I am using Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus and nothing else but windows firewall on my laptop. I am posting in the VortexBox forums as well.
Thanks for all the help everyone,

LMS > Favorites > On MySB.com is the way it was designed to be, if that is what you mean.

this is supposed to work this way. mysb.com favorites show up under LMS favorites. But the opposite is NOT true (LMS favorites do NOT show up under mysb.com). If you use both mysb.com and LMS, you should probably add all your favorites at mysb.com, so they are automatically in BOTH places.

As toby and garym explained, having your mysb.com Favorites show up on LMS via the LMS > Favorites > On MySB.com menu is normal. There is no "standard" reciprocal mechanism for putting your LMS Favorites on mysb.com, although there is a workaround available that involves putting your LMS favorites.opml file on an internet server and putting that URL as a Favorite on mysb.com.
As for your Apps, do you have anything on the "My Apps" tab in mysb.com? Even if you do, on the main mysb.com web screen, the My Apps tab is only for configuring the apps, not for using them. To use them you need to use the "Remote Control" window on the mysb.com page, and that remote control needs to be connected to a SB player (hardware or software). Do your apps show up on the mysb.com Remote Control?

I have the same issue as the OP. I just received my SB Touch, so this is all new to me.
I loaded an app on the Touch (via the Touch). I can see the app on the Touch and I can see it on mysb.com under my apps, but it doesn't show on LMS. LMS is installed on my laptop which I want to use to control the Touch. I do not have a separate music server; all my music files are on my laptop.
I read through this post but still cannot figure out why LMS doesn't show my apps. I did enter my email address and password in LMS (Web Control, settings). I don't know if its related, but when I go into the LMS control panel, put in my email and password under the Accounts tab, then click Apply, I get an error message that says "an unexpected error occurred while validating your mysb.com account, please make sure network connectivity is working fine". I'm not having any problems connecting to the internet using my laptop and the Touch doesn't have any problem connecting to mysb.com, so I don't think there are any network connectivity issues. I also don't have any problem controlling the Touch via mysb.com remote control.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
