Hi,
I tried to install a brand new SB Radio for a friend yesterday.
When switched on for the first time, there was no set-up screen, no language selection, no network choice.
Instead, it tried to connect to mysqueezebox.com directly, and there was no chance of interrupting this process.
The connection faild, and the only choice was to re-connect or diagnosis. No way to select the network at all.
No other menus present.
On top of this, the scroll-wheel was kinda broken. Every few spins, it felt stuck and needed more power to keep spinning.
I'm going to send it back of course, due to the scroll-wheel alone. But I really wonder why the radio did get stuck in the connection process.
It's my fifth radio I installed, and none of the others showed a similar behaviour.

Sure it was brand new? Sounds more like a reboxed return that was already setup before.

Thats what I thought initially.
It was packaged like new, all the protection films were placed perfectly. It looked brand new.
But even if it has been set up and used before you should be able to re-configure the network.
Instead it was like: Turn it on -> "Connecting to mysqueezebox.com" -> "Connection failed" -> "Retry / Diagnosis".
And absolutely no way to leave this screen, no matter what. Neither on wifi or on LAN.

Try factory reset: Power the radio off. Holding the "+" button and press power button. You should see the network setting again screen again.
