Ditto. I use Orange Squeeze every day on my heavily-modded Kindle Fire.

    Archos

I use the Archos 80 G9 Turbo with a 32GB SD card and it works great.

    Nexus 7

I don't know if it's inexpensive, but the new Nexus 7 works great. I had a Kindle Fire and Galaxy Tab 2 before that, but I didn't even know there was a Squeezebox app and never tried it!

Nexus 7 is a super-nice tablet for the price...hard to go wrong.

I got my Nexus 7 and it works very well as a controller.

I still wonder about the $59 Android tablets that I see here and there.

I had the Zeki Tablet which cost $99 at Se a couple of weeks ago. It has Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, 8GB and is expandable with micro SD. It had the Amazon Marketplace, getjar and soc.io app stores and could be rooted easily to get the Google Play store. I used an open source app Squeezedroid as I didn't find how to use the Logitech app without the Play store until today. The Squeezedroid worked in a basic way, but was not a total replacement for a fully developed android app.

The Zeki was returned as there was so little support, rooting it may have voided the warranty and mainly the wi fi did not support a hidden SSID. I ended up spending 4x the price for an ASUS TF 300T, purchased after going to the store for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7. Got caught up in features creep with the 10" screen, 32 GB internal memory, Quad core processor, HDMI connector, keyboard option.

So if one does not mind the wifi restrictions and using apps not in the Play store or rooting to do so, The Zeki Tablet was an almost OK approach for $100. For the best controlling experience however I still prefer the Controller, have 4 of them and even use one with the SB Touch.
