I Like the analog VU meters on the SB Classic but when my computer is switched-off and I'm listening to web radio it flicks up for a second then disappears.
I'm finding it very frustrating trying to get it back up again.
Cycling through the now playing visualisations doesn't work and I think I've exhausted all the screensaver permutations.
Any guidance? Thanks.

Indeed the VU meters display comes to the SB3 (aka SB Classic) as data, along with the music.
Since this display uses up a bit of network bandwidth (and does not like network latency I guess), this feature is not offered by mysqueezebox.com over the Internet link.
Also, over time you will probably witness that VU meter display has a lower priority than music: connected to your computer, you may see the VU meters working when the player uses ethernet, but refuse to display if you switch to a weak wifi network (or temporarily stop displaying when playing some lossless files among 'lighter' mp3 files.)
I am quite fond of the analog VU screensaver myself. I use it along with the SaverSwitcher plugin, to cycle between song title and VU meter every 2 minutes or so. (Again, this is a server plugin, it won't be available when your local computer is shut down.)Last edited by epoch1970; 2012-07-04 at 09:35.
