Can't get customised wallpaper to show on SB Touch

I am having trouble getting a customised wallpaper to show on my SB Touch. I have set it up in the server settings customized interface and the picture (a simple single colour 480x272 pixel rectangle) is showing OK there. But it is not appearing on my Touch wallpaper list. I have been able to control all the normal touch functions from my computer LMS (I ahve stopped the SBT's) but not that. Any advice would be appreciated.

Weird ? You pressed apply on the settings page when adding the picture, the size seems rigth is also a jpg,png or bmp file it should work .

And the Touch are conected to the server while you try ? Not mysqueezebox.com

Yes the picture appears on the setting page when I add it. And the SBT is connected to the server as I can operate it from the server as far as playing music, setting alarms eg I just can't get it to recognise the wallpapers.

And it is the right type of file ?

I created a directory for my custom images that are available to the server all the time on the server itself , You can't "upload" in the traditional sense you point LMS to a directory where the image is, that directory must be available to the server.
So if your server is on a NAS it's best to have the picture there .

    I'm on this server version.

    Logitech Media Server Version: 7.8.0 - 1337855496 @ Tue May 29 04:15:43 MDT 2012
    Hostname: nostromo.home.lan
    Server IP Address: 192.168.1.50
    Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
Operating system: Red Hat - EN - utf8
    Platform Architecture: i686-linux
    Perl Version: 5.10.1 - i386-linux-thread-multi
    Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1)
    Total Players Recognized: 4

Here try some of my images and I'll try some of your's

Thanks very much for taking so much trouble to help me. What you said in the first paragraph of your post made me realise what I was doing wrong. I did not point the SBT to the server running on my laptop thinking that because I had control of the SBT from the Logitech Media Server software on the laptop it should work in reverse with the wallpaper. When I corrected that it worked.

    Thanks again and regards,

    Jeff

You can't upload to LMS, but you can add a url and then press apply on the LMS setting page for a remote image. For example, adding the following means you can access one of the images Mnyb attached to the forum:
