    Slow Motion Playback

Just received a 24/192 wav recording on disc from Soundkeeper Recordings. Copied it to my HD and attempted to play it back on the Touch. Plays ok but it's in slow motion! anyone come across similar and found a cure?

Are you using the EDO output app? If so at present you need to send the file to the player as flac for 192k to work. [7.8 should fix this]

Edit - if you are not using EDO then I'm not actually sure that the server transcoding works either for wav files. Try to steam as or convert to flac.

I have the EDO app on the Touch. Setup is SC runs on my laptop (Win 7, i5, 6Gb RAM) Music is on a Drobo wired to the router , and ethernet cable to the Touch. I tried a factory reset but the file still played slow.

I'm not up on all these mods, when does 7.8 come out?

I have no idea about a release date - ask logitech... You can install the beta of 7.8 server and this will get 7.8 firmware which I believe will work now. But if you prefer to only use release software then you will need to convert to flac at present.

Thanks for the help. I'm converting to FLAC as I type.

Ok, converted to FLAC and it still plays in slow motion. Plays fine on my laptop via VLC.

Do you have "native" flac playback disabled on the filetypes setting menu?

Looked in filetypes, and I have flac in the flac section set to disabled. I looked at the WAV section and changed flac in that to flac/sox and now the wav file will play at normal speed, but it drops in and out. The flac copy still plays slow.

I'm using the Controller, and it shows rebuffering when the music drops out, it's doing that constantly.

    So sounds like two problems...

    1) You need to enable flac native playback to play flacs directly on the player [this is the only method which will play the full rate through the player with EDO]
    2) Sounds like your server or the network is causing rebuffering - through lack of processing power or network bandwidth - try enabling native flac playback to see if this improves it for the flac version.
