I've switched service provider which entailed replacing a separate modem and router (2 devices) setup with an integrated modem and router (1 device). The new device is a Zyxel P-2601HN-F1. My computer connects fine with the router, as does the wired nas. The Duet remote shows the new router, it sees the new network, and having entered the wpa password I get a full "Home" menu on the remote. However the player is "not found." I've accessed the setup via the computer's internet connectio and I get "your player was not found." I pushed the front button on the Squeezebox long enough to "waiting to be configured for your network", and got the slow blinking red light. Then, embarassingly, I can't remember how to get the box to actually connect. What's the next step?
Should I do a factory reset on the box?
Any advice is much appreciated.

Yes, do a factory reset and set it up from scratch. That should get things working again. To do the factory reset on the receiver you must hold the front button until you get the fast red blink. Remember, when setting up the receiver you will have to select it by MAC address as this is a ad hoc network connection directly from the receiver to the controller until you've got the receiver configured for your new network.

And during this setup get close to the receiver as the controller uses a direct connection to the receiver for the setup.
Slow blinking red is that it is waiting for setup btw--------------------------------------------------------------------

How to make Squeezebox Player Not Found~#
I also have a problem with this message: "when setting up the receiver you will have to select it by MAC address".
First of all, I do have a wireless router and also an "extender" which I think creates another "network" and links to the router network.
So, do the server, controller, and two Duet receivers have to be on the same network, or can they be on different networks?
How do you make them choose one or the other?
You say "when setting up the receiver you will have to select it by MAC address"
which sounds good, but the receiver only has one button.
Still, I am willing to try everything, anything.
So, How do I "select" it? ..by Mac address?
Assuming the controller and the receivers are actually computers on the network(s) ..can I log onto them and change their network settings?
There are two smartphones, an iPod, and an iPad (with iPeng) and a couple of laptops, one windows, one Mac.
Including the extender, the router, and the Logitech devices for two lots of amps& speakers, that's ten computers on the two networks.
And the Mac is complaining, "Someone's taken my IP address!"
I've been turning everything off and on again for two and a half years.
Still never know if I'll be able to play music on any given day.
Any ideas?Last edited by stevix; 2012-06-28 at 10:33.

It is my understanding that they do all have to be on the same network. On the "select receiver by MAC address" I can answer that.
Once you've held the front button on the receiver long enough to get the fast red blink it has been factory reset so it will no longer be attached to one of your wireless networks from your routers. With your Duet controller you would go to the Choose Player option. The Duet receiver that you did the factory reset on should show in the list of players by its MAC address, not the "friendly" name you had it named as. Yes, the receiver is broadcasting a adhoc network that you are direct connecting to rather than through one of your routers. When a receiver is set up and connected to your regular wireless network the controller does not communicate with the player directly. When you select a receiver by its friendly name you are actually communicating with Squeezebox server (or put your server software name here) which then talks to the receiver.
On your Apple complaining that someone has taken its IP address would indicate that you have multiple DHCP's running on multiple devices handing out duplicate IP's to IP's that have been given out by the other DHCP server. You should only have one DHCP server handing out IP's on your network.2 Duets - 1 for upstairs and 1 for downstairs
