I have recently installed LMS on WHS 2011 HP Proliant Microserver having moved it across from my PC. I would be interested to know what other users, using this setup, do. I have LMS running under administrator and it starts as a schedule task rather than a service. Therefore the admin user is always open on the server.
What can be regarded as best practice.
I also have remote web access enabled so I would like to make the server as secure as possible.
I look forward to any replies.

Just go into the lms control panel and tell it to start on system start. It will create the service for you.
You can leave the account empty or put credentials in, its up to you.

You might also want to change the default locations for log files and cache files. Most WHS machines have small system drives, and that's the default location for these files.
See http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...-Music-Library for information on this.
