    Occasional random pops(snaps)?

Just recently I have noticed that when listening to my stereo system (Touch), that I will hear an
occasional audible pop or snap. It sounds like an electrical thing but it has not become a problem until recently. I have changed the power inputs on the power strip, checked for any appliances that kick on and off, done a complete reboot of the router, modem and computer etc. I think all that did help a bit but even though less frequent , it still happens.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

with your own files (and if so, mp3, aac, flac?), with streaming (internet radio, pandora, etc.). Do you only hear this when changing from one song to another or just randomly within a song.

I hear the occasional pop randomly, even when nothing is playing but the stereo system is on. I believe it may be an electrical interference coming from somewhere. It's a very rare occurance since I made some adjustments with the cords and after the rebooting procedure.

yep, definitely sounds like something unrelated to the streaming of music or the SB itself.

JFWIW I recently built a Vortexbox server with ASUS Xonar STX SC to feed my Hi-Fi directly via SPDIF (I have SqBx Touch elsewhere in the house). I've noticed a similar issue since I changed to the VBx server, that I haven't fully investigated, but it seems to be when a track ends or starts with a silent section (e.g. When the gaps on the original CD that I ripped had no silent space between tracks) or I cut a track off part way through.

In my case I'm fairly sure it's hardware related BUT FWIW I'm also meaning to check the fade over setting (or whatever it's called) in LMS, as that may eliminate it....

    Cheers,

    John
