One of my receivers does no go into reset mode when pressing and holding down its front button. I'd previously successfully used it wired and want to place it into wireless mode. When I power it up I get a brief red light followed by two purple flashes which repeat approx every 4 secs until turned off - if I'm not mistaken this indicates "Wireless card missing/bad (checked first upon boot-up)". Why would wireless suddenly be bad/ missing? Is there anything I can try incl. setting the player up for wired mode?

I've never opened one of my receivers. If the wireless card is a plugin, you could try reseating the connection.

Ok, after much fiddling and seating the wireless card at a slight angle the receiver now behaves normally and I can go through the configuration with the controller. The receiver is seen by the controller and the controller gets to blue, meaning it's waiting for a connection to SBS/LMS, but the the controller subsequently reports an issue connecting to the network. WTF!!!
Network config as follows:
ADSL modem acting as DHCP server for entire network. 5 port gigabit switch connected to ADSL modem. WAP connected to same switch. Microserver (on which SBS runs) is connected to same switch. All devices can see one another and network is properly configured.
So, having waded my way through hell I now find that the controller is able to connect to the WAP and also see the (unwired) receiver located in the same room as the WAP. The receiver is goes from red through to blue and the the controller merrily announces that it cannot connect to the network?
I've tried the setup in bridged mode and it works fine, so the receiver is fine as it would seem is the controller, however, the mofo will not connect in wireless mode. What gives, I'm fresh out of idea other than throwing the POS away? Wired is not an option in this particular setup. Am I missing something obvious or is there something I need I check?Last edited by audiomuze; 2012-06-19 at 10:42.
