I've got a Classic, Boom and Radio. I LOVE how I can customize the Classic and Boom - particularly with the superdatetime plugin to show weather. I've found the Radio to be inferior in this way (and many others...). Is it possible to customize the Touch, and if so, in what way and please suggest plugins.
Thanks.

If you are running SBS/LMS on a computer/NAS you will be able to continue use SuperDateTime plugin. It will be able to display weather/sports information out of the box in the Extras/SuperDateTime menu but if you want to use it as a screen saver you will also have to purchase the Custom Clock applet and install it on the Touch through Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer menu. Custom Clock will also require the License Manager applet to be installed to work.
If you are looking for customized VU meters there are a couple of free one that can replace the standard once which can be installed through the free Patch Installer applet.
If you want to do more customization on the VU meters or customize your own screen saver, you can do this through the Custom Clock applet by also installing Custom Clock Helper plugin in SBS/LMS. Some samples can be found in this thread:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...gue-digital-VU
Some sample styles which have been created with the Custom Clock/Custom Clock Helper combination can be found on this page:
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...m_Clock_styles
The Custom Clock documentation page can be found here:
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...m_Clock_applet
The name of the Custom Clock applet might be a bit confusing because it's a lot more than a clock.
If you want weather information, you can also use the free Weather applet by bluegaspode:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...uch-Controller
There are some other patches available through Patch Installer applet which possibly can be of interest depending on what you are looking for.Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

Yeah, SuperDateTime is one of my favorite things to have with the Touch, and it feels weird when it is down or not working right.
Also as long as you have the size exactly correct, you can also add Custom Wallpaper to the Touch. I have several Iron Maiden and others that I resized down to 480x272 to fit the Touch's screen. And yes it has to be exactly 480x272 to work, it won't resize on it's own, which sometimes takes a bit of work to get things just right. Then also using Erland's custom clock plugin I've changed the colors for the Time and Weather info with the SDT screensaver so that it's a bit easier to see with certain wallpapers. There may be more ways to customize stuff, but I'm not very good at all with figuring things like that out if it's not spelled out really clearly.

Thanks to all for the great ideas. This sells me a little more on the device. I just wish Logitech would show that it is keen to keep the line around. No new hardware in how long?

What I always wanted was a decent now playing screen saver with a retro 80's cassette tape, complete with spinning reels and track information on the label in hand written biro effect.
I would actually pay for that.Cheers, auto.

It's somewhat possible to do with Custom Clock.
There is one available for Touch:
- The Cassetta Touch style: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...k_Cassetta.png
And there is one available for Radio:
- The Cassette style you can find on this wiki page: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...m_Clock_styles
The Radio one can probably be customized to work with the Touch also if needed.
The issue with retro 80's cassette table style is to find good graphics which I'm allowed to redistribute, if you customize your own style using Custom Clock Helper you can probably find some good graphics which you are allowed to use for personal usage.Erland Isaksson (My homepage)
