Yes, many netbooks employ 2.5" drives. Not sure how many come with 1 TB though. You'd likely have to buy a 1 TB drive separate and install after the fact.

Be a little careful with 1 TB 2.5" drives to be installed in a laptop. Most laptops can only accept 2.5" drives that are 9.5mm thick. The first 1 TB 2.5" drives were built with an extra platter and all of them were 12.5mm thick. With greater platter densities this has changed, but there are still some 12.5mm drives on the market.

With only 350 GB of data, a 750 GB drive might be more cost effective, anyway.

Hi again, I'm pretty much sold on a Foxconn unit now but looking at the myriad of hard drives available I'm lost again, what do i need to look for ? Ok the size is obvious and the unit only accepts Sata II but what about al the other options rpm,cache etc...

Get a slower, non-7200 RPM drive. A 5900/5400/5200 RPM drive runs cooler and will be plenty fast enough for a music server. More cache is better (faster), but in reality you're unlikely to notice any difference.
