Play Next function like on Duet remote?

    Hi everybody--

When I have my SBT playing randomly, which is my most common use, and think of a song I want to play, using the remote control from my Duet I can scroll to the song and choose play next. It does that and then goes right back to random play. Is there a way to do the same thing on the touchscreen of the SBT, or using my Harmony remote? I don't have an iPhone, an iPad, or anything like that, so some app is not an option for me. Thanks!

Long touch on the track you wish to play next and select "Play Next" from the pop-up menu.

Thanks, Kidsty Pike! By the way, I stood on top of glorious Kidsty when I did the C2C in June 2004. Please feel free to send a PM if the C2C, Lake District, SUW or West Highland Way is something you'd like to chat about, but don't feel obligated. I'm just happy you were able to answer my question. Thanks again.

    Problems

It's not working for me. A long touch on the track I want to play next is just bringing up the details for that track, not a pop-up menu. What am I doing wrong? Also, if anyone knows how to create a command, or a series of commands on a Harmony remote to do this, I'd appreciate it.

Are the track details you're seeing on a pop-up menu? Scroll to the top of this menu, the "Add To End" "Play" "Play Next" items should be there.
Do you have a Touch infrared remote? A press on the "+" button will bring up the same menu.
Sorry I don't know anything about Harmony remotes.

BTW, I don't do much walking, climbing these days, just a bit of surveying now and then.

    Success!

That pop-up menu was definitely not coming up for me, but is now. Here's what I did.

First, I created a "+" button on my Harmony remote. I had tried to do this yesterday, looking for the word "plus" in the list of available commands, but it's not there. Today I took more time and saw the word "add." Voila! That's the plus button. A press of this button on Harmony remote now brings up the add-track pop-up menu.

Second, after using the button on the remote to do it, I then tried the long press on the screen again. It worked immediately. I can't explain this--it's like having used the remote button woke up this function. I'm going to focus on the result and not the "why." I have the function I wanted now. Thanks!

Sorry you don't do much walking or climbing these days. I must say that if I don't drop about 20 lbs. (a stone+?) or so soon my days might be over, too. Is that Doppler structure in your photo the one near Keld?

Glad you got things sorted out.

My "avatar" is a picture of me approaching the summit of Great Dun Fell, Northern Pennines.
