The 7.7.2 Debian Package works for WD Live NAS. But I am sure that My Radios have newer firmware than my LMS before I update my LMS from 7.6.2 to 7.7.2 without seeing the prompt for SW update when they switch betweenMySB.com and LMS. Don't remember what I did to prevent the update prompt.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I never managed to get my radio to update itself to any version. The closest I got was after a factory reset it got to around 40% downloading an update and then crashed and restarted itself with a 'sorry your device had to restart after a system error'.
I ended up installing LMS 7.7.1 (same as what's on the problem radio) on my NAS, so at least it doesn't keep pestering for updates now. Everything else seems to work fine, so I guess I'll just have to stick to this version from now on...

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue with the exact same symptoms with a squeezebox radio I just purchased - right down to the behavior of the wifi signal strength icon turning red for a second.
The solution here was to upgrade to the latest LMS, which is not something I want to take on at this point. I'm running 7.5.5. currently and it works fine for all of my other devices and should work with the Radio.
I've tried all of the things suggested here - factory reset and using a wired network connection rather than wireless. No joy.
In addition to the annoyance of the request for update, the latest fw for the radio (which it successfully loaded from mysb.com) doesn't seem to play well with the 7.5.5 version of server software. The player doens't show up in the list of players even though it is connected to the server. If I try to play music, it appears to but no sound comes out of the radio. it plays Rhapsody fine via mysb.com.
Is there something I can do other than upgrade my server software? This is very frustrating, especially since I'm not exactly a squeezebox newbie :-).Rich

I don't have a Radio, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that a slight change was made to the Radio hardware at some point during the production run. The change meant that all Radios with the newer hardware required 7.7+ versions of LMS. I hate to spread misinformation since I can't remember where I read it, but it sure seems like I read it somewhere....

Can anybody confirm this? Andy or Michael - do you have some insight to this issue? In searching the forums, I see I'm not the only person experiencing this. I really don't want to take on upgrading my server software just to support the radio, which should work with 7.5.5.
